Every Daughter Deserves a Dance with Her Father

Emily Reinstein of Manhattan Beach, CA, now 16 years old, would give anything to dance with her father, but she can’t. Alan Reinstein died in 2006 of mesothelioma, a cancer of the lung caused from asbestos exposure.

Losing someone you love is never easy, especially when you lose them to a disease that could have been prevented. Emily and her mother Linda Reinstein, executive director and co-founder of the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), decided to turn their anger into action through education, advocacy and outreach.
