On Wednesday five of Minnesota's largest foundations - the Bush Foundation, the Minneapolis Foundation, the Minnesota Community Foundation, the Northwest Area Foundation, and the St. Paul Foundation - convened a cross-sector group of Minnesotans in a search for ways to get better results from government at a lower cost. While these Minnesotans came together with an eye on the current budget crisis, part of the focus was on the need to make improvements in public services over the long-term.
