Capretz & Associates Files Lawsuit on Behalf of Escondido Woman Whose Knee Surgery Resulted in Additional Surgeries Due to an Allegedly Defective Surgical Screw That Was Recalled by the Manufacturer Smith & Nephew, Inc.

Capretz & Associates today filed a lawsuit in San Diego County Superior Court on behalf of an Escondido woman who has suffered from continuing leg pain and other problems due to a defective surgical screw that was used to repair her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) which was damaged from a skiing accident. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Cheryl Dailey, who was 44 years old at the time of her accident, and her husband, Richard Dailey. The suit was filed by the Newport Beach, CA, law firm Capretz & Associates against Smith & Nephew, Inc., the Delaware-based manufacturer and distributor of the CALAXO Screw that was used to repair Mrs. Dailey’s left knee.
