Survey Shows Strong Support for Presidential Election Reform Law

A survey conducted of 800 Washington state voters during the first week of May, 2009 shows that 77% of state voters support the idea that the President of the United States should be the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states. The survey comes on the heels of the National Popular Vote legislation passing the Washington State Legislature and being signed by Governor Chris Gregoire. Washington has become the fifth state to pass the legislation, joining Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey and Maryland.
