As House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel (D-NY), Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Education and Labor Committee Chairman George Miller (D-CA) met yesterday with House Democrats to begin crafting a health reform package, leaders of the nation's two largest long term care advocacy organizations urged the lawmakers to help reject a Bush-era Medicare regulation included in President Obama's FY 2010 budget that will cut 30,000 key health jobs, and stifle delivery system reforms already benefiting patients and taxpayers.
