Covenant Medical Center Inc. chief executive officer Spencer Maidlow today was recognized as Michigan's top hospital and patient grassroots advocate at the Michigan Health & Hospital Association's (MHA) annual meeting. Maidlow was honored as Michigan's 2009 Grassroots Champion, an award granted annually by the American Hospital Association (AHA), for "effectively delivering the hospital message to elected officials, broadening the base of community support for hospitals, and working tirelessly on behalf of patients, hospitals and health systems."
