Increasing BMI is strongly related to the CHD risk factors systolic blood pressure and HDL

Increasing BMI is strongly correlated to the coronary heart disease risk factors of systolic blood pressure and high-density lipoprotein.

According to a study from the United States, "This study examined the impact of body mass index (BMI) category on cardiovascular risk factors such as systolic blood pressure (SBP), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and total cholesterol (TC). Voluntary coronary heart disease (CHD) risk screenings were conducted in 18 states. A mobile screening unit and team were used to collect data."
