Arachnova portfolio strengthened with new patents for MCI-225

Arachnova Therapeutics Limited announced that the Japanese Patent Office, and the State Intellectual Property Office of China have issued patents covering the use of MCI-225/AA10021 for the treatment of pain, including nociceptive and neuropathic pain.

Arachnova acquired a license to data relating to this compound from Mitsubishi Pharma Corp. in February 2004 and has patented new therapeutic uses for the compound.
