Wyeth reports net revenue for Q1 2006 of $4.8 billion, up 6%

Wyeth (WYE) reported in its results for the 2006 first quarter ending March 31, 2006, a worldwide net revenue increase of 6% to $4.8 billion for the 2006 first quarter. Excluding the negative impact of foreign exchange, worldwide net revenue increased 7% for the 2006 first quarter.

Reported net income for the 2006 first quarter was $1,119.6 million compared with $1,078.2 million in the prior year. Reported diluted earnings per share for the 2006 first quarter was $0.82 compared with $0.80 in the prior year.
