Researchers from Italy and Netherlands describe findings in lung cancer studies

Lung cancer research advances have been reported from Italy and Netherlands. Study 1: Elderly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients could be treated by carboplatin and paclitaxel as first line chemotherapy. According to recent research from Italy, "Lung cancer is the leading cause of tumour-related deaths in the elderly population but the optimal management of advanced NSCLC in older patients has not been defined to date.
