Reports from the Czech Republic, Germany and Denmark highlight recent research in obesity.

Study 1: Resistin physiology and pathophysiology may play important role in obesity-induced insulin resistance.

According to a review from Czech Republic, "Resistin is a 12.5-kDa polypeptide hormone produced by adipocytes and immunocompetent cells. It was originally proposed as a link between obesity and insulin resistance/diabetes."
