Reports from the United States and Japan highlight recent research in vaccines. Study 1: Topical imiquimod is a potent adjuvant to a weakly immunogenic protein prototype vaccine. According to recent research published in the journal Vaccine, "A major challenge in the development of more effective vaccines for cancer and other diseases is the development of potent adjuvants that can strongly, simply, and safely enhance vaccine immunogenicity.
