Reports outline proliferative retinopathy study results from Odense University

"Aims/hypothesis We evaluated the effect of diabetic retinopathy on 25 year survival rate among a population-based cohort of type 1 diabetic patients from Fyn County, Denmark. In 1973 all diabetic patients from Fyn County, Denmark with onset before the age of 30 years as of 1 July 1973 were identified (n = 727)," scientists in Odense, Denmark report.
