Medicare law triggers business model and procedure changes

The business models and procedures of pharmaceutical companies are in for broad modifications in response to the new Medicare Prescription Drug Law.

While profits may not skyrocket, the development can certainly give the industry a boost.

New analysis from Frost & Sullivan, "Changing Role of Medicare and its Impact on Pharmaceutical Companies," reveals that the Medicare spending grew at a rate of 5.7% in 2003. It is likely to grow at a CAGR of 9.2% from 2003 to 2010.
