Oncology company reports 6.4% increase in revenue

AmeriPath, Inc., a provider of cancer diagnostics, genomics, and related information services, reported its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2005. Net revenues for the first quarter of 2005 increased 6.4% to $133.9 million from $125.8 million in the first quarter of 2004. Same store net revenues for the first quarter of 2005 increased 2.7%, or $3.4 million, when compared to the first quarter of 2004. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization), which is a non-GAAP financial measure, for the first quarter of 2005 was $20.0 million compared to $15.7 million for the first quarter of 2004.
