Pharma firm records 46% increase in revenues

BioTime, Inc., (BTX) announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2005. BioTime's total quarterly revenue increased 46% to $191,083 for the first quarter of 2005, from $130,700 for the same period last year. Royalty revenues from Hextend product sales in the United States and Canada by Hospira increased 43% to $165,321 for the first quarter of 2005, from $115,887 during the same period last year. The company recognizes royalty revenues in the quarter in which the sales report is received, rather than the quarter in which the sales took place.
