Testosterone patch treats low sexual desire in surgically menopausal women

A 300 mcg/d testosterone patch safely and effectively treated low sexual desire in a study of surgically menopausal women also receiving estrogen therapy. "Five hundred thirty-three women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder who had undergone previous hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy were enrolled in a 24-week, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial.
