Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc., (HTI), a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of recombinant human enzymes, announced the appointment of Sue Bailey, a physician, to Halozyme's scientific advisory board (SAB).

As former assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, Dr. Sue Bailey has been at the forefront of many significant challenges faced by America, and brings extensive experience in public health, academia, military medical strategy, and regulatory and public policy administration to Halozyme's SAB, according to Gregory Frost, PhD, Halozyme's vice president and chief scientific officer.
