New Version of Devices to Treat Clogged Neck Arteries Approved by U.S. Food and Drug Administration

The Cordis Endovascular Division of Cordis Corporation, announced U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval to market its PRECISE(R) RX Nitinol Self-Expanding Stent and ANGIOGUARD(R) RX Emboli Capture Guidewire System to treat clogged neck arteries. Approval of the Cordis carotid system was announced at the Arizona Heart Institute's International Congress on Endovascular Interventions in Scottsdale, Arizona.
