Lifestyle designer Barclay Butera's highly-regarded style of casual elegance with a contemporary twist, his national acclaim, and respectful makeovers of homes with a Hollywood legacy earned him recognition by L'Auberge Del Mar's parent company, Destination Hotels & Resorts, as a premier luxury residential designer. Butera was selected as Creative Director for the $25M renovation of luxury hotel L'Auberge Del Mar. His mission was to bring a fresh approach with an air of sophistication to the 120-room resort located in Del Mar, CA, that overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and reopened June 2008.
