McKesson Announces New Touch-Screen Driven Medication Dispensing Solution

McKesson today introduced Anesthesia-Rx™, an advanced anesthesia cart with a medication-dispensing process that is entirely touch-screen driven. Virtual pocket technology provides a visual roadmap that guides users to the medication's location within the drawer, eliminating the need to type and search. With only two touches, anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) have quick access to their medications and narcotics in the operating room.
Anesthesia-Rx is currently installed at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, Pa., and Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, N.J., both of which are experiencing very positive results.
