Urotensin II muscle myoblast receptors examined, characterization reported

Recent research from the United States published in the journal Peptides reported the characterization of functional urotensin II (U-II) receptors in human skeletal muscle myoblasts (HSMM).

"The properties of U-II receptor (AT receptor) and angiotensin II (ANG II) receptor (AT receptor) in primary HSMM and differentiated skeletal myotubes (HSMMT) were characterized," wrote J.S. Qi and colleagues, Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development LLC.
