New findings reported from Abo Akademi University, Turku Center for Biotechnology describe advances in proteomics

New investigation results, "Proteome analysis of human macrophages reveals the upregulation of manganese-containing superoxide dismutase after toll-like receptor activation," are detailed in a study published in PROTEOMICS. "Macrophages are essential for the development of innate immune responses against a variety of infectious factors. They detect invading pathogens via their pattern recognition receptors such as toll-like receptors (TLRs)," investigators in Turku, Finland report.
