Studies from Banaras Hindu University, Department of Zoology yield new data on cyclooxygenase

Fresh data on cyclooxygenase are presented in the report "Evaluation of cyclooxygenase 2 derived endogenous prostacyclin in mouse preimplantation embryo development in vitro. Cyclooxygenase (COX) plays an important role in prostaglandin (PG) synthesis and has two isoforms, COX1 and COX2. PGI synthase (PGIS) catalyzes the isomeization of PGH(2) to prostacyclin (PGI(2))," scientists in Varanasi, India report.
