Reports from University of Sheffield add new data to research in dystrophin-associated proteins

Fresh data on dystrophin-associated proteins are presented in the report 'Modulation of cell spreading and cell-substrate adhesion dynamics by dystroglycan.' According to recent research from Sheffield, the United Kingdom, "Dystroglycan is a ubiquitously expressed cell adhesion protein. Its principal role has been determined as a component of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex of muscle, where it constitutes a key component of the costameric cell adhesion system."
