2012 FEB 27 -- Current study results from the report, "Albumin modification and fragmentation in renal disease," have been published. According to the authors of recent research from Pisa, Italy, "Albumin is the most important antioxidant substance in plasma and performs many physiological functions. Furthermore, albumin is the major carrier of endogenous molecules and exogenous ligands."
