VIASYS introduces nasal interface product LYRA as legal actions continue

VIASYS Healthcare Inc. (VAS) announced that it is manufacturing and marketing the LYRA CPAP nasal interface product.

VIASYS earlier filed a complaint against Innomed Technologies Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California seeking a declaration that the LYRA product does not infringe a patent that Innomed alleges it owns. While the court dismissed the complaint on procedural grounds, it made no findings on the merits of the case and did not find that the LYRA product infringes Innomed's patent.
