Adenovirus vectors encoding A-beta and GM-CSF induce immune response

Co-administration of recombinant adenovirus vectors encoding amyloid beta-protein and GM-CSF induced a Th2 immune response. According to a recent study from the United States as reported in the journal Vaccine, "Lines of experimental evidence indicate that induction of humoral immune responses in transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer disease (AD) by repeated injection of synthetic amyloid beta-protein (A-beta) is effective in prevention and clearance of deposits of A-beta aggregates in the brain of the mice."
