Use of Sexual Assault Evidence As Pornography To Become Crime

Using sexual assault victims' statements, pictures, and medical reports as pornography - a common practice in British prisons - would become a crime under a bill introduced in the House of Lords.

The bill has been passed by the House of Commons with all-party support and is likely to be passed easily by the House of Lords.

Currently, the exploitation of sexual assault evidence for pornographic purposes is not against the law. Prisoners have apparently accessed the material through their lawyer or prison officials.
