Bill on Sex Materials In Vending Machines Ready for Debate

A proposal to keep juveniles from buying sexually explicit publications from vending machines is ready for debate by the Arizona state House.

Already passed by the Senate, the measure was discussed by the House Judiciary Committee but not voted on because the deadline for action by legislative committees has passed

The hearing was held nonetheless because House rules require a bill to receive at least one committee hearing before consideration by the full chamber.

Under the bill, it would be a low-level felony to use a vending machine to display, sell or offer to sell "any material that is harmful to minors" as specified in state...
