Flynt Sells Thousands of Copies of Hustler in Cincinnati

Buyers far outnumbered protesters at a small Cincinnati, Ohio, shop where Hustler publisher Larry Flynt sold copies of his raunchy magazine for the first time in 20 years.

Magazine sellers in Cincinnati had shied away from hawking Hustler ever since 1977, when Flynt was found guilty of pandering obscenity. So Flynt, whose conviction was overturned, decided to open up a shop for himself.

"It's exciting," said Flynt, who sat next to the cash register and chatted with customers. "All the support has been extremely amazing."

About six protesters held signs saying "Porn hurts children" and "This is where filth is sold."
