Growth and osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow stromal cells characterized

A study from the United States has reported on the characterization of the growth and osteogenic differentiation of rabbit bone marrow stromal cells (RBMSCs).

"The rabbit is recognized as an excellent model to study the repair of bony defects with tissue engineered constructs. However, the use of RBMSCs has been limited despite the proven benefits of autologous BMSCs in the formation of bone," wrote J. Roostaeian and colleagues, VA Greater LA Healthcare Systems.
