Researchers' findings from Germany and the United States advance angiology research

Investigators in Germany and the United States have published new angiology data. Study 1: Vascular walls are reservoirs for progenitor cells that propel postnatal vasculogenesis. "Here, we report the existence of endothelial precursor (EPC) and stem cells in a distinct zone of the vascular wall that are capable of differentiating into mature endothelial cells, hematopoietic, and local immune cells, such as macrophages.
