Investigators at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital release new data on cardiology

Scientists discuss in "Improved postoperative outcomes associated with preoperative statin therapy" new findings in cardiology. According to recent research published in the journal Anesthesiology, "Statin therapy is well established for prevention of cardiovascular disease. Statins may also reduce postoperative mortality and morbidity via a pleiotropic (non-lipid-lowering) effect."
