Research from the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany sheds light on diabetes

Study 1: Current study results from the report, "Prevalence of glucose intolerance in primary hyperparathyroidism and the benefit of parathyroidectomy," have been published. According to a study from Runcorn, the United Kingdom, "Increased prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) in primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is established, but not glucose intolerance (GI), nor benefit from parathyroidectomy on GI.
