Success continues in the first half of current financial year

TecDax-listed Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ISIN DE0005313704) posted consolidated revenue of ' 282.1 million (previous year: ' 192.3 million) in the first half of the 2006/2007 financial year (1 October 2006 - 31 March 2007). In addition to the good development of the ophthalmic busi- ness, Carl Zeiss Surgical, which is consolidated since 1 November 2006, made a significant contribution to the increased sales. The medical technology provider once again managed to increase its profitability despite extensive investment in new products and expansion of its sales and marketing capacities.
