Researchers from University of Hong Kong, Department of Surgery publish new studies and findings in the area of abdominal aortic aneurysm immunology

Investigators publish new data in the report "Differential secretion of prostaglandin E(2), thromboxane A(2) and interleukin-6 in intact and ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms." According to recent research published in the International Journal of Molecular Medicine, "Ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) contributes largely to aneurysm-related morbidity and mortality. An inflammatory gene, COX-2, was found to be widely expressed in AAA."
