Reports from Philipps University highlight recent research in hyperparathyroidism

A new study, 'Surgical treatment of tertiary hyperparathyroidism: the choice of procedure matters,' is now available. According to a study from Marburg, Germany, "' Parathyroid surgery (PTX) in patients with tertiary hyperparathyroidism (tHPT) may endanger the long-term survival of transplanted renal grafts. The mechanism by which graft function deteriorates is unknown."
