Studies from Hospital Vall D'Hebron, Department of Medicine yield new information about hepatitis C virus genetics

Investigators publish new data in the report 'Nosocomial transmission of hepatitis C virus during contrast-enhanced computed tomography scanning.' According to recent research published in the European Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, "We have investigated two cases of acute hepatitis C that occurred in patients who underwent digestive endoscopy and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) scanning at two different centers.
