Fresh data on gender and health are presented in the report 'Incident cancer burden attributable to excess body mass index in 30 European countries.' According to recent research from Manchester, the United Kingdom, "Excess adiposity is associated with increased risks of developing adult malignancies. To inform public health policy and guide further research, the incident cancer burden attributable to excess body mass index (BMI >or=25 kg/m2) across 30 European countries were estimated."
