New abdominal aortic aneurysm research from General Hospital, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery discussed

New investigation results, 'Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair in a renal transplant recipient using a femoral V-A bypass,' are detailed in a study published in Annals of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. According to a study from Sapporo, Japan, "We report a successful repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in a renal transplant recipient using a femoral V-A bypass to protect the renal allograft during aortic cross-clamping. A 49-year-old male patient with renal failure had received a second allogenic renal transplantation in the right iliac fossa in 2002."
