Studies from University of Minnesota, Department of Surgery reveal new findings on adenovirus

Data detailed in 'Current issues and future directions of oncolytic adenoviruses' have been presented. According to recent research published in the journal Molecular Therapy, "Oncolytic adenoviruses (Ads) constitute a promising new class of anticancer agent. They are based on the well-studied adenoviral vector system, which lends itself to concept-driven design to generate oncolytic variants."
