Z-Medica Donates QuikClot(R) Emergency Dressing(TM) and Combat Gauze(TM) to AmeriCares for Use in Haiti and Other Emergencies

Z-Medica Corporation, a medical device company developing innovative hemostatic agents, announced that it has donated $140,000 of its QuikClot® Emergency Dressing™ and QuikClot Combat Gauze™, the company's life-saving hemostatic agents, for use in Haiti and other future disaster relief efforts by AmeriCares, a nonprofit global health and disaster relief organization. Z-Medica has also shipped an additional order of 34,000 units of its QuickClot® Combat Gauze™ from the United States Department of Defense, also to be used to provide medical treatment in Haiti.
