TB Patient From Maryland Jail Is Located

A man who tested positive for tuberculosis while being held in Maryland's Carroll County Detention Center was quarantined last month after he was located by county health officials.

Dr. Janet W. Nelson, Carroll County Health Department Health Officer, would not release the man's name or where he was being quarantined. She told a local newspaper he would be quarantined until he is no longer infectious.

The health department has been testing people who came into contact with the man, Nelson said. Nelson would not say how many people received letters from the health department warning them of their exposure to the man with TB.
