Officials said 160 students and staff were tested for the disease after they came in contact with a student who developed an active case of TB. Test results were made available.
City Health Commissioner David Naparstek said the results fell within the expected range of 8 percent for TB testing.
In the 1980s, studies conducted in Boston, Massachusetts, schools showed that 5 to 9 percent of all students tested positive for TB.
