A study of 28 institutions participating in U.S. government-sponsored clinical trials showed that 18 of the sites (64 percent) failed to meet their patient accrual goals.
The study, conducted by Washington University researcher Michael Klebert and colleagues, was presented at the Twentieth AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) Meeting, held December 2-6, 1995, in Washington, D.C. The ACTG Patient Care Committee, a resource committee of the ACTG executive committee, performed the study.
