"A Simple and Cheap Method to Diagnose Tuberculosis in the Periphery of the Health Sector."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the European Conference on Tropical Medicine, held October 22-26, 1995, in Hamburg, Germany, "Tuberculosis (TB) case-finding in the periphery of the health sector in less developed countries is usually not possible. Therefore, TB patients are diagnosed too late and often die during the 1st month of treatment (Slide 1). For 7 years successful TB case-finding with glutaraldehyde (GA) gelification of whole blood, together with a questionaire/examination chart (q/e c) has been made.
