Suicide Try Suggests Teens on TB Prevention Need Monitoring

A suicide attempt by a teenager who overdosed on the isoniazid he was taking to prevent tuberculosis suggests that observed prophylaxis may be warranted in this age-group.

This finding by researchers from the New Jersey Medical School National Tuberculosis Center was presented at the American Lung Association/American Thoracic Society 1996 International Conference held May 10-15 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
