CDC Calls for Targeted TB Control for Children

The large increase in pediatric tuberculosis cases among minority populations and the foreign-born between 1985 and 1994 underscores the need for targeted TB prevention and control activities in these groups, according to a report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The report was presented at the 36th meeting of the American Society for Microbiology's Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, held September 15-18, 1996 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
