"Tuberculosis Infection Control Programs in Texas Hospitals, 1989-1991."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 36th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, held September 15-18, 1996, in New Orleans, Louisiana, "Paralleling the resurgence of tuberculosis (TB) in the U.S., the reported number of persons with TB in Texas increased by 33% during 1985-1992, the third largest rise among all the states. This increase prompted us to survey hospitals in Texas to determine their degree of compliance with recommendations in the 1990 CDC TB guidelines.
